The Pietrapura line was born from the collaboration between the Tuscan company Rocca delle Macíe and renowned Apulian companies, in the common aim of enhancing the native vines of Salento and creating wines that best express the territory. The combination of their experiences and know-how led to the creation of different types of wine with native grapes, including Mandus , a wonderful expression of Primitivo di Manduria Doc which represents the high range of production.
It is obtained from vineyards selected by the Rocca delle Macíe technicians. The whole process, from winemaking to bottling, takes place under the careful supervision of the oenologist from Rocca delle Macíe Luca Francioni. It is characterized by an evolution in French oak barriques lasting 4 months.
It has an intense ruby red color. The nose opens with a fruity aroma of cherries and plums, which are accompanied by spicy hints of vanilla and chocolate. In the mouth it shows a wine of great structure and with a good balance.
Perfect to accompany dishes with meat sauce and game, it is ideal with aged cheeses.
