Australia, McLaren Vale
This is a lovely little Grenache that strikes a superb balance between being light and graceful with a bit more brawn about it once you get under the bonnet. The grapes are grown by Dean and Jodie Zimmer at their little vineyard on Twenty-Eight Road in the McLaren Vale. The team in Oz have been sourcing grapes from them for the last 10 years citing the site as one of the best for top quality Grenache grapes across the whole of South Australia. Plenty of raspberry fruit and gentle spice with a moreish freshness that makes the finish sing.
